Sports Photography at Harlow Ladies Rugby Club

So, I’ve crossed off another of my list of photography genres I wanted to try out – sports photography.

I have a friend who plays for a local women’s rugby team and I’ve been invited to come and take photographs of their games. So, off I went to the team’s home ground in Harlow and after meeting the team and introducing myself, it was time to start snapping!

I had a lot of fun taking photos of the team and I feel like I have adopted the team as my team to support in their league.

I’ve also learned a lot about the sorts of settings that you need to get anything close to a suitable shot during the run of play in various weather conditions.

I’m hoping that I get the opportunity to photograph not only the ladies’ team, but other teams and even other sports. I wouldn’t mind trying my hand at a football match!
